Primary PE and Sport Premium VISION All pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. OBJECTIVE: To achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools.

Primary PE and Sport Premium We would expect indicators of such improvement to include: the engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity – kick- starting healthy active lifestyles the profile of PE and sport being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils increased participation in competitive sport

State of the Nation Ofsted – focus on Outstanding Leadership and Management ‘Leaders change things. Leaders move things on. Leaders determine the culture and ethos of institutions’. (HMCI) The pursuit of excellence is demonstrated by an uncompromising and highly successful drive to improve or maintain the highest levels of achievement and personal development for all pupils over a sustained period of time Subject leaders provide colleagues with clear guidance on what to teach and how to teach it well. They show them how to make routine assessments and how to use this information to raise achievement in PE.
