2 Job Analysis An evaluation of the positive and negative attributes of a given career choice Does it meet your career objectives? Is selecting the right job really that important?

3 Positive Features! Salary –Yes $$$ is the most important part of a job… or is it? –When are increases? –Do you get evaluated? Raises –Merit? –Liberal pay schedules?

9 Entrepreneurship Someone who organizes, manages and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise They assume the “risk” of a business. Why might someone want to become an entrepreneur?

10 Answer… Entrepreneurs can better control their own lives and futures. Since they are working for themselves, they get to keep the profits from their labor.

Small Business Assistance Centers also provide ongoing training, education, and assistance as needed. 13 Assignment Make a list of benefits that are often provided by employers. Include examples such as parking places, floating holidays, flextime, company car, paid holidays, sick pay, expense account, profit sharing. Now… list them in order of importance. Make a list of those you can live without and those you “must have.”
