2 Four Years of Social Studies Three years required, 4 years recommended Two years of American History required One year of World History required Several levels to best fit skill level of student 13 more elective courses

3 GRADE 9 and 10 SOCIAL STUDIES (required courses) Levels: Foundations American Civilizations American Civilizations (academic) Honors American Civilizations Honors American Studies (gifted) Advanced Placement US History (sophomores) Course of Study/ Content: Grade 9 – RECONSTRUCTION to WORLD WAR II Grade 10 – 1920s to PRESENT Sophomores may opt to take an Elective course in addition to the two years or required American History.

4 GRADE 11 SOCIAL STUDIES (required courses) Levels: Foundations World History World History (academic) Honors World Cultures Advanced Placement European History Advanced Placement World History Honors Modern World History (Gifted) Course of Study/ Content: EUROPELATIN AMERICACHINA AFRICA MIDDLE EASTJAPANINDIA Juniors may opt to take an Elective course in addition to the full year requirement of World History.
