2.ROUTES OF HIV TRANSMISSION I. SEXUAL CONTACT : - Including vaginal sex, oral sex & anal sex. - Infecting through the wounds/ cuts on sexual organs, exchange of body fluids.

2.ROUTES OF HIV TRANSMISSION II. BLOOD CONTACT: - Unsafe blood transfusion - Sharing of contaminated devices, needles (drug- users)

2.ROUTES OF HIV TRANSMISSION III. MOTHER-TO-CHILD TRANSMISSION: - Chance of infection: 15 – 40% - Transmission during pregnancy, laboring & breast- breeding.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES TO HIV

3.PREVENTIVE MEASURES I. SAY NO WITH “UNSAFE SEX” - Keep a stable & monogamous relationship. - Understand the sex history of your partner. - Make proper & consistent use of condom: avoid HIV & STDs (hepatitis B, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc.)

3.PREVENTIVE MEASURES II. SAFE BLOOD CONTACT - Only receive clean blood products. - Avoid sharing blood-contact devices, syringe & needle (or use bleach/ distilled water)

3.PREVENTIVE MEASURES III. PROTECT YOUR BELOVED INNOCENT BABY. - Taking blood test before pregnancy - Early & proper treatment: chance of HIV transmission is by 2/3.
