Angles An angle is formed by two rays or two line segments that meet at a point. This point is called a vertex. (The plural of vertex is vertices. There are four different kinds of angles. right angle straight angleacute angleobtuse angle

Benchmark Numbers Numbers that help you estimate the number of objects without counting them, such as 25, 50. 100, and 1,000

Area The number of square units needed to cover a figure. To find the area of a figure, count the squares inside it. You add squares or multiply the number of squares across and the number going down to find area. 3 x 2 = 6 There are 8 sq units
