3 Re-Educate  Amplify existing/old messages  Weave soccer theme into educational materials Examples:  Quiz combining soccer and HIV/AIDS education and use soccer related prize as incentive  Create central World Cup information scoreboards or screens within the organisation and incorporate HIV/AIDS messaging

4 Address Risks  Alcohol  Sex workers  Access to (and correct use of) condoms  Post- exposure prophylaxis  Fan Packs  Information & important contact numbers  Condoms  Water bottles/t-shirts/beanies etc with a message  Match schedule etc…

5 Increase Male Involvement 5  Capitalize on the attentiveness of male audience- increase participation in workplace and community based programmes  Incentivise VCT events using soccer related prizes  Use soccer players to motivate engagement  ‘Football Fridays’- put HIV on the agenda  Multiple concurrent partners- “Support one team-love one woman”

6 Reducing Stigma & Discrimination 6  Capitalize on the unifying, barrier breaking effect of football in the community and workplace to fight stigma and discrimination  Create platforms for interaction on common ground to talk about fear, stigma and discrimination i.e. Management and staff/young and old community members  Use Football players as ambassadors and role models in the fight against HIV/AIDS
