2 Evolution 1968 – Established as an Agriculture Training Centre
1975 – Research, Extension and Training 1996 – HARP – 5 years (2001) Handing over the centre to NARC CGS project funding Hill research network 1998 – Handed over from DFID to NARC on 17 July 2003 – Regional Agriculture Research Station on 17 July

3 Mission Statement Goals
To work as an innovative regional agricultural research institution integrating the three major components (crops, livestock and agro-forestry) of hill farming system for improved livelihood of the farming communities. Goals Increase agricultural production and productivity Generate income and employment Improve nutritional and food security Sustainable use of natural resources
