8. What will take place? Inspiration and excitement! Monday – start to feel very egg-cited about Science Week! Tuesday 5 th May 8:50am- 9:15am Whole school assembly with the ‘Wild Science’ animals (fluffies, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates) Meet the chickens at St Michaels. Incubator - in 6HB classroom throughout SW and until they hatch. Orientation and motivation! Meet the animals for Years R – 5 throughout that day. 9. What will take place? Perspiration and focus! Learn the function and anatomy of an egg. Choose favourite animal from Tuesday and learn about it’s life-cycle (pictures, dance, models, mind-map on iPad etc.) Do some chemistry and physics with eggs. A whole school homework task to take Science Week home.

10. What facilities and resources do we have? St Michael's chickens. Incubator. Outdoor areas Parents connected with eggs and life-cycles? – producers, farmers, vets, carers, medics; invite them in. Petty cash up to £10 per order – white vinegar, eggs etc. Ask Val for a form. £1.20 for a dozen Tesco value eggs.
