Engineer Training Startup/Shutdown Procedures TJ8300 / TJ8500 Confidential 6 Shutdown: Preparing the Foam Night Cover Perform the first time only: The foam night cover has two distinct sides:  The side that covers the inkjet heads is made of foam.  The other side (facing the drum) is made of hard plastic. 1.Cut the polyethylene sleeve to length. 2.Insert the entire length of the foam night cover into the sleeve so as to completely cover it with the polythene. 3.Fold the ends of the polyethylene sleeve towards the back of the night cover and stick it together with adhesive tape.

9. Engineer Training Startup/Shutdown Procedures TJ8300 / TJ8500 Confidential 9 4.From the RTRun application (Main window) click Off. 5.Wait for the bridge to complete its forward movement. 6.Push the bridge, manually, all the way towards the drum. Shutdown (Cont.)
