Objectives Know: To be able to use the internet as a resource. Understand: The use of the internet to teach SS lessons. Be able to: Access websites that can be used as a resource for teaching Social Studies. Use activities to enhance learning that are not textbook based.

In this session, teachers will explore internet activities to teach Social Studies content. Teachers will receive ideas to engage students with research, videos, and other activities that will enhance Social Studies lesson plans.

Pair students to work together for research. Use technology station to incorporate SS Skills.(CLIP) Research topics independently and keep information in a research journal. Utilize thesaurus and dictionaries on line to find meanings/synonyms of vocabulary.
