Ordinal measurement – A single continuum underlies a particular classification system – Example: pop-music charts – Represents some degree of quantitative difference – Transforms information expressed in one form to that expressed in another

When you square the correlation coefficient (r 2 ) and multiply this number by 100 – You have the amount of the variance in one measure due to the other measure Regression: – Mathematical way to use data – Estimates how well we can predict that a change in one variable will lead to a change in another variable
