2. Our Essential Question What if an allergic reaction to the skin occurs while getting vaccines? How do you find out what mineral is causing it?  This was our original question, and since then we have refined the content. We wanted it to be more specific and have to deal with certain vaccines and minerals. What are the effects of getting an allergic reaction to the HPV shot, and what mineral inside the shot could cause it.  This is our refined question that specifically addresses a certain vaccine, and the problems that can happen while getting it.

3. Minerals and Their Side-Effects First, we looked up the minerals that were in the HPV vaccine. They include;  Yeast Protein  Vitamins  Amino Acids  Mineral Salts  Carbohydrates  Amorphous Aluminumhydroxyphosphate Sulfate  L-Histidine  Sodium Borate  Poly Sorbate 80

4. Side-Effects of the HPV Shot Of course, every vaccine has its side effects. The hpv vaccine has some as well. These include:  Headache- Usually occurs shortly after the vaccination.  Easy bruising or bleeding- Skin tissue is very sensitive to any contact.  Weakness- Any sort of fatigue.  Fever, chills, body aches- These are all common symptoms.  Nausea or vomiting  Insomnia- Inability to fall asleep.  Erythema- Type of skin rash/disease you can get from various vaccines.  Pruritus- Severe itching of the skin, as a symptom of various ailments.

5. What’s Erythema? Now that you know some of the more common side effects of this vaccine, we want to give you some background information on Erythema. It’s a fairly rare reaction caused by the vaccine, and only 1/10,000 people can generate this type of effect. Signs that your generating this reaction;  Fever  General Ill feeling  Itching of the skin  Joint Aches  Multiple patches of bumpy skin (usually located on legs, arms, and upper body)  Eye pain (vision problems)  Mouth Sores

6. What’s the mineral that causes this?  Well, we were looking high an low for the #1 mineral in HPV (Gardasil form) vaccines that cause allergic reactions or other problems. According to childhoodshots.com, “The most common mineral found in vaccines including the Gardasil vaccine is aluminum. Aluminum is a known neurotoxin and can kill cells, cause neurological injury and lead to many other immune system problems. Every Gardasil shot contains 225 micrograms (mcg) of aluminum and the current recommendation is a series of 3 shots over several months. The series will result in 675 mcg of aluminum exposure.”

7. Other Common Problems  Since we only told you about some of the allergic reactions, we wanted to show you some of the other problems that develop from this vaccine. Some include;  Difficulty breathing  Wheezing (bronchospasm)  Hives  leg pain  muscle weakness  seizure  bad stomach ache
