Rent for a two bedroom apartment in Austin, Texas = $1,200 per month (includes water bill) $1,200 X 9 months = $10,800 X 4 years = $43,000! Notice: This does not include the following bills that come with living somewhere other than a dorm: electricity, cable, satellite, etc… You MUST figure these costs in with your TOTAL for the number of months/semesters you incur these expenses. You must also figure in the costs of phone bills: cellular and home for each month/semester you use them. SOME OF THIS INFORMATION WILL HAVE A SOURCE CARD; SOME OF THIS INFORMATION WILL NOT HAVE A SOURCE CARD.

Step FOUR TRAVEL EXPENSES TRAVEL EXPENSES If you will commute from home to school, then you will compute the number of gallons of gas it takes to fill your tank AND how many miles you can go on that tank of gas; then figure on driving back and forth for at least 15 weeks per semester times the number of semesters you must attend to earn your degree.
