Freshman Orientation August 24, 2010

Volunteers will help freshmen move in on the morning of august 24. drive to main gate to have a volunteer assigned to you. Volunteer will accompany you to the dorm. Volunteer will arrange for luggage carts.

After moving in, volunteer will help you set up your computer and demonstrate accessing the library and other online services.

Volunteer will explain how to avoid long lines at the bookstore and how to order online. Volunteer will accompany you to the bookstore for a firsthand look around.

Tuesday, august 24 8:30 AM -11 AM- students check in at main gate 12:00 PM -1:00 PM- student – parent orientation Session at South Campus Hall 1:00 PM- student lunch at the main Dining Room 5:15 PM– 7:00 PM- barbeque at North Campus 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM- break to relax in rooms and unpack 9:00 PM – 10:30 PM- choice of bowling or miniature golf

Wednesday, August 25 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM- breakfast at the Main Dining Room 8:30 AM – 9:00 Am- groups meet to leave for volunteer sites 9:00 AM – 4:00 pm- work at volunteer sites 5:45 PM- Dinner at local Princeton restaurants 7:00 PM- 9:00 PM-game night 9:00 PM- movie

Monday through Friday Breakfest 7:00 A.M- 9:30 A.M Lunch 11:00 A.M- 1:15 P.M Dinner(Monday through Thursday) 4:45 P.M- 6:30 P. M Dinner ( Friday) 4:45 P.M- 7:00 P.M Saturday Breakfast 7:30 a.m-9:30 a.m. Lunch 10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Dinner 4:44 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Sunday Brunch 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dinner 4:45- 7:00 p.m.

Meal plans: freshmen MUST participate in one meal plan outlined in dining options brochure. Rules You must have an ID card All meal plans apply to the Main dining room Only meal plans in Category I and V can be used at the food cort, located in the student building. Note dining hours posted for this location

Go to the Visitors’ center- Building B, located at main gate – Pick up campus map – Learn some cool facts about Meadowland Bys service – Local transport around campus. Pick up in front of main gate and will transport you to North and South campus Walking Escorts – Available at night. Dial 555-walk Call 555-555-5555 for more details about bus service

Attend the Activities Fair August 28, Administration Building, 4:00 p.m. Where you will learn about Medowland’s many clubs and organizations Student Clubs Countless clubs, intramural sports teams and volunteer organizations will enrich your mind, body and spirit Student-lead Student created
