all active Key Skills (3638) and pilot Functional Skills (3648) centres granted automatic approval for 3748
all Adult Numeracy/Literacy (3792), ESOL Skills for Life (3692) and ICT Skills for Life (3804) centres able to complete a fast track form
other centres will need to complete a qualification approval (QAP) form
3748 has 3 complexes
each complex is for 1 subject, but all levels for the subject

8. FUNCTIONAL ENGLISH consists of 3 parts Reading Writing
Speaking, listening and communication
each part is assessed separately
learners must complete all parts
certificate awarded at lowest level of achievement
dictionaries are allowed at all levels

entry level may be split over more than 1 session
