3 Why Due to development of society and technology it is essential to develop a curriculum for teaching Computing (including Digital Literacy and in particular Computer Science) that will allow children in K12 education to have an access to knowledge that will make them creators of technology – not just its consumers. 6 What to teach Secondary school – 4 grades: – technical gymnasium: 280 hours – general gymnasium: 70 hours mandatory + 210 hours elective subject on a matura examination – in practice emphasize on use and not creation A. 10 Who to teach Use of ICT requires permits different approaches; the teacher is still the key person, however his role is changed. 11 Who to teach – 6 basic eCompetencies 1.Critical use of ICT in education process. 2.Use of ICT for efficient communication. 3.Searching, collecting, processing and evaluation of information. 4.Being aware of safe use of ICT, and ethical and legislative norms in using of ICT. 5.How to Create, update and publish of eMaterial. 6.Plan, design, execute and evaluate teaching and learning process using ICT.
