1. What are the key take- aways? Data information collected from this workshop can be used within our respective ministries to develop G.I.S. system relevant to our needs. Use of smartphone GPS in the aid of data collection. Introduction to a new and useful free software QGIS In keeping with the vision of the Ministry of Housing and Planning to facilitate a nation wide holistic GIS system.

1. What are the key take- aways? - cont... Awareness of Eco-basis adaptation Implementation of the GIS allows for the ease of retrieval of data. Learning how to prioritise the need for hurricane shelters. The sharing of data among our immediate co-workers and presenting to our superiors.

How can they be integrated into your work and decision-making processes CWSA / Finance / ITSD / Forestry / Works - Smartphone usage for data collection and Surveys Health - Surveillance (water, food, mosquitoes) Physical Planning - Use pilot projects to stimulate interest of Decision/Senior Officers BRAGSA / Transport & Works - Infrastructure conditions and looking at environmental data

3. What is the role of other development agencies (WB, TNC, UNDP, OECS, etc.) Loans Training Facilitate awareness Providing Information to conduct assessments

Short-term/work plan (0-6 months) - Workshops - Seminars/Webinars Medium-term / operational plan (6months - 3years) - Extensive data collection - Tech Support Long-term (3years - onwards) - Maintenance in training - Personnel dedicated to GIS systems - Technical Support
