4 Maternal and Child Health Outreach (MCHO) Goal Pick up services where other programs are unable to meet the needs of families who have suffered the loss of their baby in the Central Oklahoma. Provide services to families that have suffered the loss from still born or infant loss Support families at high risk for poor birth outcomes Reduce Infant Mortality in Central Oklahoma

5 Target Population Women who have suffered a previous infant/fetal loss Women with prenatal depression Pregnant Women Families identified at high risk for poor outcomes

6 Services Education Safe sleep Maternal health Smoking cessation for pregnant women Self care during post partum Counseling Grief and Bereavement Referral to community services for: Basic needs, additional support Meet the Family where they are: Hospital, Home, Health Department, or Comfortable location No Cost to the Family

7 Who Qualifies Women who are pregnant or 1 year post partum Woman who have suffered an infant loss or still birth previously Women who are at high risk, whether due to life style choices, health conditions, genetics, ect.., for loss or still birth of their baby
