8 NEW Threshold Requirements $50,000 OR LESS May directly award contract to DIR Cooperative Contracts vendor(s) or reseller(s) No additional request for pricing is required $50,000 TO $150,000 Must submit request for pricing to at least three (3) vendors or resellers TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATION 8

9 MORE Threshold Requirements $150,000 TO $1 MILLION Must submit request for pricing to at least six (6) vendors or resellers EXCEEDS $1 MILLION? May not enter into a contract through the DIR cooperative contracts program to purchase a commodity item DIR has posted a blanket exemption for purchases greater than $1 million. 14 SOW Review and Signature Process TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATION 1: Agency Submits Draft SOW to DIR 2: DIR Reviews and Consults with Agency 3: DIR Responds to Agency 4: Agency submits Approved SOW to vendor(s) 14

15 TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATION 5: Agency evaluates vendor responses and negotiates final version of SOW 6: Agency and vendor execute final version of SOW 7: Agency sends final SOW to DIR for signature 8: DIR reviews, approves, signs and returns SOW to agency SOW Review and Signature Process 15

16 Post SOW in its Entirety Subject to exceptions in the Texas Public Information Act and opinions of the Office of Attorney General Maintain Posting At a minimum, throughout term of the SOW, including any renewals or extensions Posting SOWs on Agency Websites DIR is proposing the following update to TAC 212 16
