What is Homeostasis? The ability to maintain constant internal physical and chemical conditions All living things must do this to survive.

What are some examples of homeostasis maintenance in humans? Temperature Regulation Blood sugar regulation Oxygen level regulation Waste removal

What are some things organisms use to maintain homeostasis? Cell Specialization – Muscle cells, bone cells, nerve cells, etc. Organ specialization – Stomach, heart, lungs etc. System specialization – Digestive system, Circulatory system, Muscular system, Nervous system etc.

Maintaining Homeostasis in a multicellular organism (such as a human) requires coordination between all the body systems!
