Let’s start with the verb pulsa t What if I took off the ending? Then I’d have the base of the word. I can add on present tense endings.

Imperfect Translates like the verb was happening and happening in the past.

Perfect Translates as a simple snapshot of the past: Snap! that just happened. in the past.
