A Verb is a word or group of words that express action, shows a state of existence, or links the subject (usually the doer of the action) to the rest of the sentence Example: Action verb 1.Brad jogs every morning before work. 2. I drive to my friends house every weekend to hangout.

A Verb Phase is several words working together as a verb. Example: She has went home. He will come back soon. They should have went to the mall earlier. A Verbal is a word formed from a verb but functioning as a different part of speech Forms of a verb ending in –ing are called gerund. Example: John is working on a major project for work.

To show past tense, most verbs have –ed or –d which are added to the base form. Ex:(talked, walked, jumped) Example: Bryan had yelled so loud, that the neighbors heard it. An infinitive is a verbal formed by placing the word to in front of a simple present form of a verb. Ex:( to swim, to think, to be) Example: Kenya was suppose to go camping but when out with friends instead

Verb Tense indicates the time of the past, present, or future. The four tenses for the past, present, and future are as follows Simple Progressive: be + ing form of the verb Prefect progressive: have or had + been +ing form of the verb

VERB VOICE Verb voice tells whether the verb is in the active or passive voice. Active voice: The subject performs the action of the verb Ex. The boy pushed the girl. Passive voice: The subject receives the action Ex. The girl was pushed by the boy VERB MOOD Indicative: Verb mood tells whether it is expressive a fact or a opinion Ex. She needs to change clothes be for the leaves Imperative: a command, a request, or advice Ex. Watch the kids please Subjunctive: a doubt or wish Ex. It will be wise to come to work early
