2 Barter  To Trade

3 Polar region  Area that receives little to no direct sunlight

4 Immigration  Two enter and settle in a country or region. Going to a country, arriving.

5 Emigration  To leave one country or region to settle and another. Leaving it, to exit.

6 Culture  Everything is group thanks, makes, and does.

7 Urban  Many people, like in a city.

8 Province  One of 10 political units that Witch make up Canada.

9 Ecumen  A region that people can live in permanently.

10 Colonialism  When one country claims another piece of land as their own.

11 Glaciers  Large moving masses of ice.

12 Brain Drain  When the most talented people of a country emigrate for another country.

13 Tundra  Polar climate and vegetation region with few large plants.

14 Continental climate  Climate region far from the ocean that has a wide range of temperatures.

15 NAFTA  A trade agreement between the US, Mexico and Canada.  North American Free Trade Agreement

16 Ecosystem  Region with certain plants and animals.

17 Watershed  Region of water that drains to a certain body of water.

18 Pull  Reasons for immigration.

19 Push  Reasons for emigration.

20 Cultural diffusion  Spreading cultural features from one place to another.

21 Dictator  Leader of a country that rules with absolute power.

22 Deciduous trees  Trees to drop their leaves in the fall.

23 Coniferous trees  Evergreen trees with needlelike leaves.

24 Marine climate  Climate region close to an ocean that has little change in temperature.

25 Commercial farming  Growing farm products to sell to others.

26 Forestry  Planting, growing, and harvesting of trees.

27 Plural society  A region with people from many different places.

28 Rural  Region with a few people, like in the country.

29 Indigenous  People who are native to a region before colonialism.

30 Point pollution  Pollution from a single source.

31 Non-source point pollution  Pollution from many different sources.

32 Invasive species  Non-native plants and animals that invade an ecosystem.

33 Refugee  Person who has to leave their home due to some bad situation.

34 Persecution  Targeting a person/group because of the religion, skin color, etc…

35 Genocide  Trying to totally kill a group of people.

36 Empire  A large region totally controlled by a group.

37 Habitat  Natural environment in which a plant or animal lives.

38 Runoff  Water not absorbed by the soil.
