Poor Nutrition & Exercise: % of kids eat fast /junk food 2 – 4 times a week 2007 Adolescent Survey in AU : 20 % were eating the recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables 14 % participated in the minimum recommended levels of physical activity Teen obesity: Affects 1 in 4 teens in AU and NZ 19 to 23 % of Australian teens are overweight or obese Associated complications include : diabetes, vision loss & neuropathy, heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and stroke

The mortality rate for bulimia nervosa is estimated to be up to 19% Diabetes: 599,259 Australians are diagnosed with diabetes.
