Lab Notes Composition of blood-hormones, iron, white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, plasma, carbon dioxide, and oxygen. Heart beats faster- ice, adrenaline, sugar and stress. EKG-graphical recording, electrical events Impulse- right atrium, to S A node, to A V node, to ventricles

Blood Pressure- Average 120/80 High blood pressure- heart disease, kidney failure. Low blood pressure- kidney failure and chest pain. Systolic- pumping pressure measured in your arteries(higher number) Diastolic- hearts resting pressure measured in your arteries(lower number)

Careers EKG tech- administer tests having to do with the heart Medical data analyst- construct spreadsheets and reports that include information on patients Cardiac technician- performs diagnostic examinations at the request of a physician in invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology and/or peripheral vascular study EMT- perform emergency medical procedures needed to maintain a patients airway and cardiovascular circulation
