2.  You have just discovered that VMA results of your lab have never been positive for the last one month. On inspection of reagent kits of VMA you found that the kit has never been used during the last one month. You call the concerned Lab Technologist to counsel him / her about this professional dishonesty. Please keep in mind that method involved in VMA estimation by this kit is quite tedious and time consuming.

3.  As an incharge of Chemical Pathology Lab of a 500 bedded hospital, you have sent a proposal of regent rental placement of a composite ABG and electrolyte analyser in your lab. The higher management has called you to speak on merits of this proposal. Mind you that hospital is facing great financial crunch these days.

4.  A Lab Tech of your department has complained about one of her colleagues who keeps on asking for leave on one pretext or the other and shuns her duties regularly. You call both the technicians to resolve the conflict.

5.  A patient enters in your office to complain about a report generated in your lab. He is very furious as he thinks that your result are grossly wrong as compared to report obtained from another lab within 24 h. How will you handle such a situation.

6.  You are working as Consultant Chemical Pathologist in a public sector hospital. One of the physicians of the hospital write irrational investigations to the patient e.g. T 3, T 4,TSH in stead of TSH only and Plasma Glucose Random etc. Your repeated telephone calls fail to convince him regarding rationalization of lab tests. You arrange a meeting with him to discuss the matter in a professional manner.
