INIS Collection Search – Web application built on Google Search Appliances © ; it replaced BASIS INIS Online DB ISO2709 exchange format – Discontinued since July 2010 XML – Format for AtomIndex and INIS DB on DVD as of 2010 INIS Search widget – Available from INIS website NCL Collection Management System - Central repository for managing the NCL Collection INIS Record Processing System (IRPS) – Enhanced version to improve quality assurance activities Windows 7 and Office 2010 – All INIS desktops upgraded INIS Imaging System – Reviewed and streamlined

IAEA 20-21 October 201113th INIS/ETDE Joint Technical Committee Meeting Open Nuclear Information eXchange System (ONIXS) project Requirements: Migrate to a multi-source input model, supporting Open Access standards; Input automation, accepted in different formats Identified solution: Define and implement new input model supporting multiple data providers Establish INIS as Open Archive digital repository and data provider Deliver a robust solution for the new metadata retrieval and exchange service Expected benefits: Increased usage and visibility of INIS Collection Improved INIS Collection subject and publication coverage Reduced on-going cost of data processing Increased efficiency of the INIS Team Planned delivery time: End 2012 Agenda item 3.3: INIS IT developments The present & future: On-going IT developments

IAEA 20-21 October 201113th INIS/ETDE Joint Technical Committee Meeting Unicode compliance for IDPS Requirements: Identify and remove the remaining barriers for Unicode compliance Identified solution: Pilot to verify Unicode compliance for all parts of INIS workflow Modify non-Unicode compliant components of the processing system Expected benefits: Enhanced quality of bibliographic records, by expanding allowed character set Improved quality of electronic input, by refining existing conversion mechanism Planned delivery time: 2 nd quarter 2012 Agenda item 3.3: INIS IT developments The present & future: On-going IT developments
