peripherals is a device that is connected to a computer, but not part of it. It expands the computer’s capabilities. The three types of peripherals: Input: used to interact with, or send data to the computer – examples are the mouse & keyboards Output: which provides output to the user from the computer – examples are monitors & printers Storage: which stores data processed by the computer – examples are hard drives & flash drives
