UNCHAIN – UNiversity CHAir on INnovation Introduction – Centro METID METID - Metodi E Tecnologie Innovative per la Didattica Set up in 1995, METID is born to foster the development innovative tools and methodologies in university teaching. Today METID is the University Center dealing with design, development and delivery of e-learning services, both at national and international level, offering training on the issues of e-learning, e-collaboration, Web 2.0 tools (cmap, Wiki, googledocs, YouTube, Flickr, Blog …) http://www.metid.polimi.it

Through the following steps in WP5 5.1 Enhancement of the IT infrastructure of the MEDA universities 5.2 Design and customization of the online tools 5.3 Technological/methodological training in e-cooperation for enhancing University (UE and MEDA) – Enterprise networking 5.4 Online activity management, creation of an University – Enterprise online knowledge sharing system Centro METID – WP5 activities (FY M1 – TY M12)

UNCHAIN – UNiversity CHAir on INnovation Today: WP5.1 and 5.2 activities: Visit to MEDA Universities Staff involved: Centro METID + MEDA Univ: - Thecnical (responsible for lab installation and upgrading) - Project Manager - anyone else considered by PM MEDA Univ. important to be involved at this stage of the project Activities: Inspection of location of the Unchain Chair Testing of Web tools used in the project on the PCs of the Unchain Chair Lab + Short Demo (wiki, Live Meetings, web 2.0 tools …) Interview to staff involved to point out the following aspects: contex of the project activities, users needs (specific for the project), previous experiences of MEDA univ. Staff in e-cooperation, on line communication, internet use, etc Collecting all relevant information for WP5 project activities Centro METID in Unchain project

UNCHAIN – UNiversity CHAir on INnovation Next Steps: 1) to equipe the Unchain Chair Lab with the IT infrastructure suggested by Centro METID: See in the WIKI: http://www.unchain-vu.net/05_-_Work_packages/05_-_WP5/IT_Requirements http://www.unchain-vu.net/05_-_Work_packages/05_-_WP5/IT_Requirements In this phase Centro METID will provide to MEDA Univ. IT staff, if necessary, tecnical on line assistance in the HW-SW installation procedures 2) WP5. 3: Technological/methodological training in e-cooperation for enhancing University (UE and MEDA)- Enterprise networking Period: January – March 2010 3) WP5.4: Online activity management, creation of an University-Enterprise online knowledge sharing system Period: January 2010 – December 2011 Centro METID – Planning
