2 Welcome! The Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals (CAFP) is an exciting, dynamic, and strong association that continues to grow. CAFP provides opportunities for foodservice professionals to meet and network, educate and share, mentor and develop.

We are committed to providing our members with opportunities for fellowship, recognition and personal growth. We focus on activities for networking and education, offering benefit to members, and, ultimately, all foodservice industry stakeholders.

14 Sara Lee Food Executive of the Year Presented in recognition of outstanding ability and contribution to the foodservice and hospitality industry as well as for service within CAFP and for community involvement.

16 President’s Awards The National President’s Award, may be given to members in good standing who have shown outstanding or exceptional initiatives in any of the following categories: Student Development and Mentoring Leadership in special Branch or National initiatives Community Involvement Conference participation CAFP membership growth and development Personal Achievement in their professional field

17 ARAMARK Gold Plate & Team Leadership Awards The ARAMARK Gold Plate Awards are presented to the top students in Culinary, Hospitality, Foodservice, and Dietetics, who show outstanding commitment to the industry and the community. Each branch winner receives transportation to conference and registration plus $400. The National winner receives $1000 and national recognition. The ARAMARK Team Leadership awards is offered annually to the incoming President of each student branch, and the student has their conference registration paid.

19 Credentialed Food Executives What is the CFE program? Reflects the primary objectives of CAFP Acknowledges acquisition of skills, knowledge and professional acumen outside formal education Based on competency-based criteria Represents the mark of achievement, knowledge and dedicated leadership Recognized as a prestigious designation within and beyond CAFP Recognized by the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) as a credentialing approach for food service management professionals. It is the only nationally recognized program of its kind Signifies a commitment to continuous learning.

20 Student Executive Achievement Certificate Objective: To encourage personal and professional growth of Student Executives To provide incentive to student members to pursue professional credentialing All points earned for the “Student Executive Achievement Certificate” apply as competency-based criteria for future credentialing status.

21 Continuing Education Opportunities CAFP offers excellent educational programs at the branch meetings and at the Annual National Conference.

22 Online Learning - Webinars Continuing education is an essential component of membership in CAFP and required to obtain points towards a CFE designation (Credentialed Food Executive). CAFP presents continuing education through on-line Webinars. Once these on-line presentations are completed a review of the slides may be viewed by members on our website.

23 National Mentorship Program This program will provide professionals an opportunity to share career experiences, and provide advice and support to our student members.
