Use the ivory character analysis sheet to complete this component.

12. Background: Societal, Historical….
Explain how your play would fit into theater history. In what era would it have most likely occurred/been written for?

13. Production History Where has this play been produced?
Where should/could it be produced? Who is best suited for this play?

14. Section #3: Technical Elements
A copy of the one-act/script
A sample rehearsal schedule
Ground Plan
Blocking Plan
Scenery sketches
Costuming sketches- at least one costume must be designed for each character
Makeup design sketches for the lead charactersProp list

You can print this directly from the website (most of the time). Make sure you read through your entire script before starting the project.

This should be at least 6 weeks long and should be specific.

Usually this part is already done for you! We call them stage directions and they appear in italics/parentheses in most scripts.

19. Scenery Sketch
This should be a drawing. It needs to be in color, neat, and easy to understand. Labels will be helpful.

20. Costume Sketch
These can be computer generated, hand drawn, or photographs. They need to be in color and labeled by character.

21. Make-up/Hair Design
These can be computer generated, hand drawn, or photographs. They need to be in color and labeled by character.

22. Prop List
Most scripts will include this at the beginning or the end. If it is not included, you will need to read through your script and make a list.
