2 About A. E. & I Engineering Applied Electronics & Instrumentation is a specialized branch in Electronics engineering which deals with application oriented aspects of electronics. You study  Electronics (70%)  Instrumentation  Practical experience in electronics experiments & hands on experience in industrial like set up laboratories During your course

E. & I Course Details First Year – Common to all : Engineering graphics, mechanics, mathematics, physics chemistry, basics of electrical engineering & basics of electronics engineering S3, S4 – Common to ECE &AEI : Maths, Computer Programing-theory & lab, Basics of Electronics- Circuits-both theory & lab S5- : Little more Maths, Electronics & Instrumentation Basics-theory &Lab S6- : Electronics-Power Electronics, Process control basics, Instrumentation -theory &lab+ Mini project S7- : Applied Electronics- Microprocessor & Microcontroller, Instrumentation -theory &lab S8- : Main project work, Instrumentation, advanced Process control &Lab

4 About Instrumentation I NDUSTRIAL A PPLICATION OF E LECTRONICS –I NSTRUMENTATION Instrumentation deals with the measurements and control of different physical parameters like temperature, pressure, flow, level etc. Measurement devices ;its basic working principles, control systems(for controlling these parameters ) and its working in Industry. Eg:- Room air conditioning systems needs to measure actual room temperature and change temperature of outlet airflow according to that input. The process of changing output (like humans brain) with respect to input is control. Instrumentation is the study of different measurement devices, and different control mechanisms which control a process

6 Job profile of A. E. & I Engineers Pay. Highly paid Jobs- more than any other field. We have students with more than 25 lakhs/anum salary from AEI of SJCET Job nature: prestigious and independent Job is Very interesting as the job is not limited to certain character Challenging Job- Will get enough and more chance to prove yourself Future Prospects. Automation is increasing day by day not only in process industry but also in other fields like automobile, building automation, hospital automation …. Cannot stop the growth of Automation.
