Health and Safety is a core value of Balfour Beatty Rail.
You might call it our licence to operate.
But we can always do more to prevent harm.
We know that everyone is different, but we need shared expectations and common rules. 3

This is not just about another set of rules.
Our Safety Essentials set out the safety behaviours we expect from everyone.
Our Lifesaving Rules provide direction associated with the main threats to life in our industry.
And supporting both is a Just Culture process, which we will use to better understand why people break rules and make sure we take the appropriate action. 4
