Functional Resume Highlights skill sets and achievements Lists work history separately Used mostly by entry-level or career changing candidates Chronological Resume Follows your work history in reverse chronological order with most recent position listed first Lists companies, dates of employment and responsibilities Used mot by candidates with a strong, solid work history

Research the company Be prepared Dress appropriately Arrive early End on a good note Follow up with thank you notes

Do your homework Know your needs and wants Look at the total package, not just the dollar amount- company, commute, position responsibilities/job fit, growth potential, pay, benefits Don’t bring up salary too early in the interview process
