2 Welcome! Please find a seat. You may not be able to sit in your child’s chair as we do share seats for the AM and PM sessions. I have left index cards and some pens on each table. If you have any questions throughout the night, please write down your questions and your contact information. There are many of us in the room tonight, so this will make it as easy as possible to answer all of your questions as I may not be able to speak with everyone one-on-one tonight. 11 Take-Home Folders  Take-home folders are used for parent-teacher communication. It is very important that you check your child’s folder on a daily basis. They include: Monthly behavior calendar – please check and initial daily! Any important notices Any completed classwork Homework Notes

12 **This will start sometime in October**
Homework Homework will be sent home on Monday. It does not have to be returned until Friday, however, if your child completes it early, they may return it to school. It is very important that you help your child with homework. Do not do it for them, but help them. Homework reinforces the skills we are learning in the classroom. **This will start sometime in October**

13  Important Reminders 
Check your child’s take-home folder on a daily basis. Please send the folder back to school every day. This is our main way to communicate with each other. If your child is going home a different way than usual, please send in a written note to me and I will send it down to the office in the mornings. Do not tell the bus driver. Continue to send in one small snack everyday. The children are given 15 minutes for snack. If you would like your child to celebrate his/her birthday, please remember that school policy is no baked goods. A healthy snack (fruit, goldfish, carrots, pretzels, etc.) is acceptable. There will be no weekly newsletter sent home. Our class website will list all of our skills and activities for the week. Please do your best to check the website weekly so you know what we are learning in our classroom! I update the website every Monday. I will show you how to access it.
