Today’s Webinar Revisit key study findings related to the knowledge, skills, attributes, and characteristics of effective ECMH consultants Consider two perspectives: Consultant and ECMHC Program Explore how the features of an ECMH consultant influence the recruitment, program “match”, and plans to support ECMHC consultants Identify strategies and tools to assist in assessing these consultant qualities in the hiring and support process Highlight resources for further guidance 7

National Scan Highlights Prevalence of ECMHC Of the 35 that responded, 29 states indicated availability of ECMHC; 21 with statewide efforts Consultant Qualifications –Few have state-level requirements Common Challenges –Lack of providers and/or expertise Lessons Learned –A highly trained and supported consultant workforce is crucial to effective ECMHC 10
