When? May 27-30, 2014 (We will depart on the morning of 5/27/14)

Will my child be safe? *Reputable travel company *Motor coach bus *Hotel is a Hampton Inn or comparable

How much will it cost? $970-$1150 Price includes all transportation, moderate hotel, tickets, gratuities, two breakfasts, travel insurance, and two dinners.

Is there a payment plan? Yes. A deposit of $100 is due by October 4, 2013, or the first 25 students with a deposit. We are limiting the number of students on this trip due to the crowded nature of the city. Another payment is due by the 4 th of every month, and the final payment is due April 1, 2014.

What about group fundraisers? Students will have an opportunity to earn some money toward their trip by participating in fundraisers. Those fundraisers will be announced periodically.

Other individual Fundraisers? 1. Raffle – purchase or make an item to raffle 2. Ask family, friends, & neighbors for sponsors 3. Sell candy/candy bars outside of school

Why? *Student travel offers many educational benefits *Educational travel brings history & government to life *Many times, a travel experience creates a spark in a student *Educational travel gives depth to civic lessons

Congress passed a resolution four years ago, saying in part, “Travel is a vital component of the educational experience for Americans of all ages” It clearly is a part of a total education for our students as schools prepare them to compete and succeed in an ever-changing world.
