2. Where was Selena Gomez born? Selena was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. She gets her Hispanic heritage from her dad, who is Mexican. Her mom has some Italian ancestry. This is her as a little girl. (aww)

3. What was Selena’s childhood like? Selena didn’t have any brothers or sisters. When was little, she was always singing and making scenes to perform for her parents. When she started on Barney and friends for two years, it inspired her to pursue singing and acting.

4. How did Selena’s acting career grow? When she was dropped from Barney in 2003, she auditioned for movies without much success. After she had some parts in movies, she guest starred on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. She also played a part in Hannah Montana. In 2007, she was cast as the lead of Wizards of Waverly Place. 5. How did Selena’s singing career grow? Her singing career started in 2008 with her cover of Cruella de Vil. After that, she mostly started recording songs for her movies such as Another Cinderella Story and Princess Protection Program. Also in 2008, she was signed with Hollywood Records and started working on her debut album, Kiss and Tell, which she released in September 2009.
