2 Typical Situation Husband arrives home from work Wife says, “I don’t know how we can do it. You’re late. Richie has a game an hour from here. One of us has to get him there by 7:00. 3 Typical Situation Wife realizes her husband has heard nothing after the words “You’re late.” Most wives will agree – their husband is a computer –After a few seconds – the screen saver kicks in –When there is information overload – it locks up and must be rebooted This wife realized – She is married to a computer

4 Typical Situation The husband has been telling his wife that she is a cell phone. When he arrives home – she starts talking –Everything that happened during her day –All the bad news about the washer, taxes, and the kids being sick Cell phones go off unexpectedly They ring at inopportune moments Wives keep calling until they get an answer

5 Different Wiring Women are Cell Phones Two-way communication – talk and listen at the same time Men are Computers One way communication – send email or photo

9 Communication A man asked a marriage counselor if they really needed to learn to communicate. The counselor asked, “What is your wife’s favorite flower?” After thinking for a moment answered, “It is Pillsbury – All Purpose.” The State of our Unions – We Need Communication
