© A Smith WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP? It is a work based training programme which is offered at two different levels: Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 2) – equivalent to 5 A* – C GCSEs Advanced Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) – equivalent to 2 A-Levels. DURATION They generally last between 1-4 years (for example, engineering Apprenticeships can last 4 years).
