DS200 IDEA GENERAL STRUCTURE

PURPOSEPURPOSE The purpose of this presentation is to explain the setup and the use of DS200 IDEA application.

WHAT IS IDEA? Idea is a program which is used to program and maintain the system.

Easy to use Safe via GUI (Graphical User Interface) Allows backing up the system Can access the system remotelyADVANTAGESADVANTAGES

Setting up Idea is as easy as clicking Idea_install.exe file. During the standard setup process, idea will ask you to define a password. This password must have at least 8 characters whereas at least 5 characters and 3 digits.SETUPSETUP

Programming facility offered in several groups System, ports, LCR, EEPROM tables... System configuration Visualization of racks and cards Parameter loading from file/to a fileFEATURESFEATURES

Port parameters System parameters Different IDEA operators with different authorities Call statistics Port tests Multiple extension/line programming Logging Call data receipt and many more…FEATURESFEATURES

Different types of connection to system: > From serial port of PC to the system, > To a system through Net-Console Server > To a system through LAN Adaptor > To a system through modem > Offline modeFEATURESFEATURES

IDEAIDEA

Configuration: Cards on the system can be seen. Some basic operations on each card can be handled by right clicking the desired card.IDEAIDEA e.g. power the card off / on

IDEAIDEA

System Parameters: These parameters affect the operation of whole system, they are not specific to a certain part. e.g. Night Mode, Background MusicIDEAIDEA

Port List: The complete port list of the system is seen. Port numbers can be changed individually or in groups by using “Operations” button. Specific port parameters can be reached by double clicking the “…” field.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Services: Access codes of features can be viewed and changed in this window.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Port Parameters: These parameters are programmed separately for each port. e.g. Follow Me, Call Authority, Ringing ExtensionIDEAIDEA

PBX groups: The extensions or trunks of the system can be grouped as desired. Trunk grouping is important for routing. Extension groups can be used as hunt groups for the subscribers.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Call pick-up groups: Groups of extensions that can pick up their calls by “5” can be formed.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Restricted/Permitted Numbers: This window is used to define the first digits of external numbers that extensions can / cannot call.IDEAIDEA

Extensions with authority level 4 cannot call numbers starting with 0, except for 0216 and 0212.IDEAIDEA

Phone Lock Level: This window is used to define lock levels. Extensions locked at those levels cannot dial those digits.IDEAIDEA

Extensions locked at level 2 cannot forward their calls to extensions starting with “4”, cannot define password and cannot park their calls.IDEAIDEA

Memories: The common pool numbers of whole system and private pools of extensions can be displayed and new numbers can be entered.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

LCR-ASR: - This is used for automatic routing of calls with the following menus: Filters, Route Table Route Plan Table Leading Digits Access levelsIDEAIDEA

LCR-ASR: - Filters: The filters defined here are used to change the digits dialled by extensions (e.g. add another digit in front).IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

LCR-ASR: - Route Table: The route table defines the line, filter and the required access level for this route. For routes, three alternatives can be formed.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

LCR-ASR: - Route Plan Table: The route plan table selects the routes on time basis. So, different routes can be used for different times of the day and days of the week.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

LCR-ASR: - Leading Digits: The definition of the called numbers to be analyzed by the system is made in this window. Also the route number is selected on this window.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

LCR-ASR: - Access Levels: The minimum authority level required to use the route is defined here.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Account Codes Table: - This menu is used to define the passwords with different call authorities. The same password can be used from different telephone apparatus.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA Any extension who knows the password can dial 797+004+password to make international calls.

First Digit Table: - The system does not establish 2-way voice connection in external calls unless programmed number of digits are not dialed.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA For the numbers starting with “1” the system waits for 3 digits.

GPBX Table: Defines and shows the monthly pulse limits of extensions and lines.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA Until the end of the month, extension 1207 has 25 pulses. So far, he has used 20 pulses within this month. In previous months he has used 1700 pulses in total. Next month, his account will automatically be upgraded to 100 pulses.

ACD: This is used for EVM200 parameters with following menus: General Parameters, Constant Message Numbers Constant Message Types MenusIDEAIDEA

ACD: - General Parameters: Used to define some common parameters of entire EVM operation, e.g. language settings.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

ACD: - Constant Message Numbers / Types: Used to define message numbers for some certain EVM functions. Message types are also specified here. (Those functions are specific and given in programming guide.)IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

ACD: - Menus: Used to define the actions to be taken in ACD menus with two sub-menus: - Settings - Action planIDEAIDEA

ACD: - Menus-Settings: Used to define the general settings of that menu, e.g. which message to be played at a time.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

ACD: - Menus-Action Plan: Used to define which function will be realized when a digit is dialled by callers.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA Branch Node Exchange Table: Used to define the location of S2GW Card on the system.

UAC Table: - Main purpose: To define ringing extensions for digital lines. - Also programs: Parameters like busy / ringback tone, ACD / DISA application.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Bidirectional Blocked Call Extensions: Defines groups of extensions that can / cannot call each other.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA 1212, 1213, 1214 and 1215 can call only each other.

Alarm Table: Used to activate alarm signals on various media such as FT20 screen, alarm panel, log file.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

External Numbers: - Used to decide the ringing extension, considering the number of the calling party. - For digital lines, UAC table is checked simultaneously.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA When a call comes for 2930100, if the caller is 4407878 then it rings on 1245. Otherwise, it rings on 1114.

Quick Call Table: Defines the functions of single digits.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA When an extension with “quick call authority” presses: - 1, he calls 1114. - 3, he activates Follow Me to 1111.

Quick Call Buttons: - To be used with ST25 only. Shows and programs functions of fast dial buttons.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Private EEPROM Tables: Programs some specific parameters for different card types. Not for daily use.IDEAIDEA

Multiple port operations: Selected parameters of selected ports can be programmed at once.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Parameter Copying: Selected parameters of a selected port can be copied to selected ports at once.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA Parameters 1202 will be copied to 1211, 1213, 1214....

Non-volatile memory operations: The programmed parameters can be written to memory of the system The old parameters can be reloaded before the new ones are written to the memory The memory can be completely erasedIDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

RCM: - Receives call records from the system and stores them as Microsoft Access file. - Also shows the last call record and last alarm message.IDEAIDEA (Can be used on LAN Adaptor – Net Console server connections only.)

IDEAIDEA

File operations: A backup file can be loaded on the system. All system parameters can be saved on file in the PC. The parameters of the system can be printed out.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA User/security operations: The defined users of IDEA can be seen The active user password can be changed The activity log of Idea can be seen

The system password is different from user name and password. Even if the user enters his own password correctly, he will not be able to communicate with the system unless he knows PBX password as well.IDEAIDEA User/security operations continues: A password for the system can be defined

IDEAIDEA

Tests and reports: - Line statistics: By this option the trunk statistics of the system can be collected on the PC and reported whenever required.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Tests and reports: This menu provides options for reports and tests.IDEAIDEA

Port tests: - Rural extensions, E&M lines, analog lines, TWT lines can be tested and their reports can be received.IDEAIDEA

IDEAIDEA

Reports: Reports on system resources and statistics of the lines on the system can be collected on the PC.IDEAIDEA
