LEVEL 6 – DATA HANDLING Successfully test hypothesis requiring complex lines of enquiry Complex queries on a teacher prepared databases AND, OR, NOT – with reasons for query

6 Mobile Disco Database Pupils were required to collate details of their favourite CDs and tracks. All fieldnames were collectively decided and details was gathered on a data collection form Page 1 – A data collection form complete with data Page 2 - Database created using Microsoft Access – first copy with errors (and shown) and second showing errors corrected Page 3 – Database sorted by TITLE and Pie Chart of the different music Genres Page 4 - Simple Queries ( Genre = Rock and Artist = Oasis) Page 5 – Complex Queries ( 1. Artist = Oasis OR GreenDay 2.Released = Between 2004 AND 2006) Page 6 – Report on work done This form has been completed with the evidence referenced to relevant page A Task Sheet/ Mark Sheet has also been included The teacher has shown an understanding of the requirements of LEVEL 6 work and evidence is easily found This type of FORM would guide the Moderators through the work
