California CPS Technician Training System Changes - DRAFT “Information for Bid” application process for all CPS Instructors to become eligible for VOSP support for teaching any CPS Technician Training (Technician training, Update, Renewal, Special Needs, etc.). Will need to update “Information to Bid” application every two years to stay eligible on the VOSP list. To register for support for a specific Technician course, each Instructor will need to fill out VOSP forms (as usual). VOSP supports 1-3 instructors, after host organization pays for 1 instructor. Thus with a 10 person class, VOSP will support 1 instructor. Still a 1-5 instructor to student ratio. VOSP provides a stipend of $700 for a Lead Instructor, and $600 for a Co-Instructor. Need to be a CPS Technician for 2 years and either an Instructor or Instructor Candidate. CPS Technician training course can be 3-4 days.
