In the story, We’ll Never Forget You, Roberto Clemente, the author states that Roberto Clemente loved baseball. In the text it says that Roberto played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he was the 11th man in major league history to get 3,000 or more hits. I think this means that Roberto was an outstanding baseball player who was very dedicated to becoming one of the best players in his sport. He worked very hard, and he accomplished his goal of becoming one of the greatest players to make 3,000 or more hits in his baseball career. This was not an easy task because there were only 10 other people to do it besides Mr. Clemente.

This story reminds me of a story called Balto that I read in 3rd grade. In the story, Balto is a dog who risks his life to make sure that a town in Alaska receives medicine that they desperately need. Balto is a true hero in the story. Just like Roberto Clemente, there is a statue dedicated to Balto for his bravery and good deeds.
