Apartheid Definition:Images of Apartheid Policy of racial segregation formerly followed in South Africa 1948-1990 4 groups of people White Bantu, or black Africans Coloured, or people of mixed descent Asians

The Laws of Apartheid Determined… Road Sign Where people could live (blacks were separated into different “townships”) Jobs they could hold Education they could receive Pass laws: All b lacks had to carry pass books that were used to control their employment and free movement Laws authorized segregated public facilities Denied any representation of nonwhites in the national government
