3.  Draws a selection beginning where you click with the mouse  It follows the cursor as you drag your mouse › If you let go of the cursor, PS will automatically finish your selection with a straight line from where you stopped to the point at which you started

4.  When you are using any of the lasso tools to select, make sure to ZOOM IN as much as possible › Also use your add to and subtract from selection options!
