2 Background Among the P.4 teachers, 3 of us are the first year teachers Two are in the second year, they are more experienced. Some of us are trained in the IELP We found that the workshops are very useful for us to manage the teaching skills, especially the video clips. The school visits are useful, the educators provided valuable suggestions. The sharing of our experienced teachers is precious. The team preparations help us to solve a lot of problems.

3 Our Students Our students like the project very much. They are used to the Shared Book Approach for three years (from P.1 to P.3). They are not interested in the textbook based approach. The Guided Reading acts as a good transitional period for them to switch to the new learning strategies. The KWL and Retelling help our students to think critically and they are really learning to learn. The smart students show their progress obviously.

11 This game helps students to do some classification of words. Students learn through games and activities.

12 Book shop provides more story books for students. Students have more exposure to English story books
