Increasing functional interaction and relations in the urban region of the South Wing – for example: Housing; Employment opportunities; Culture and recreation. > Different functions, different scales Severe consequences for transport by car & train and other modes of public transport > Rethinking the organization of mobility and spatial planning

31 Programme Stedenbaan Integrating sustainable mobility and urban development Efficient use of existing infrastructure and optimizing connections with national and local transport; Efficient land use; reconstructing and redevelopment of existing build-up area’s and brownfields; Integral approach by combining these efforts. Programme Stedenbaan is a long term programme and vision (2030) with different projects (short term strategies) and also short term successes The ability to sustain the vision and strategy will define the ablility to create a coherent daily urban system in the South of Holland
