BRENT BUDGET OVERVIEW Status Quo Reading Specialist & Science Teacher Low “supply” line item in order to pay for reading and science teachers PTA financial support allows us to pay for the two staff members DCPS fully staffed our Specials teachers DCPS fully staffed our front office Both PWP programs extended for SY ‘15 due to continued DCPS funding (“Fun Fund”) Math Academy and Summer Learning Academy Other part of “Fun Fund” dedicated to whole staff Responsive Classroom PD (new for SY ‘15) “Disappointing, but not devastating”

EARLY CHILDHOOD 4 Mixed-age (3-and 4-year-olds) classrooms 17 students per class (10 PK4, 7 PS3) 1 teacher and 1 aide Lunch in Classrooms Morning and Afternoon Recess 1-1.5 hour Rest Time Specials: Chinese, Art, Music, Library, P.E. Reggio Inspired Instruction: Atelerista Small Group Time with Art & Music Specialists (new for SY ‘14-’15)
