Powerpoint Templates Page 2 FIRE-QRVS is a two-part system that provides volunteer and on-call fire fighters with information about who is responding to an emergency situation and when they will arrive. It is a rapid response verification system designed by a fire fighter to complement existing dispatch systems. With rapid response verification information, fire fighters are able to make better- informed decisions about the emergency situation. The two parts of the FIREQ-RVS system are: 1.) software that is downloaded and installed on any Windows 7 or newer computer (with an uninterrupted Internet connection), ideally located at the fire department 2.) a smart phone app downloaded by each active firefighter (iPhone®, Android™ Windows Phone 8®, and BlackBerry®) WHAT IS FIREQ-RVS?

The app provides additional functionality when the first member arrives on scene. The "On Scene" feature can be used to send a Google Maps link with the exact location of the incident to responding members.

Powerpoint Templates Page 5 HOW DOES IT WORK Firefighters respond to a page using a smart phone app. A Responders Queue is created that can be accessed by all active members, either at the fire hall or on a smart phone. Additionally, duty officers receive a text message for each responding member.

FIREQ-RVS lets responders know who is coming as well as their estimated time of arrival. From the scene, firefighters can also send detailed information about incident location. Powerpoint Templates Page 8 Departments paged through CAD Dispatch Centers For fire departments being paged through a CAD system (from a Dispatch Center), FIREQ-RVS can provide departments with the ability to receive text messages directly from the Dispatch Center. It is not necessary to install any other software. Dispatchers only need to send a SINGLE email message to a unique email address created for every FIREQ department. The message is then passed through to the departmental FIREQ system to every member on the roster. The FIREQ-RVS solution eliminates the requirement for Dispatch Centers to maintain lists of individual responders. A single email from the CAD system to FIREQ-RVS can quickly generate text messages to all responders in a department.
